Day 1 –Paris –Saturday 22nd
Last night we arrived in Paris and went straight to our hotel…the best western. We are in what is called the “garden”…this so called garden is made of complete plastic, its quite funny. We went for dinner at a restaurant that I am not sure of the name but the only reason we went was because we stopped to look at the menu and some waiter came out and made us come in…. we learned to keep walking and not to stop to look at menus. The food was okay but not amazing. After dinner we walked around for a bit and then realized that we were walking strait for the Eiffel tower. We quickly went back to the hotel to get out cameras and then went to the Eiffel tower.
Day 2 –Paris –Sunday 23rd
Today we got early and all had showers. Christine and Isla went out to get breakfast, which was croissants, croissants with chocolate in it, Starbucks, and orange juice. The croissants we fresh and still warm it was really good. Then we went out and walked around Paris for a bit looking for a boat that would go around the river sein that we could get on and off at different stops. After we along the river for along time we found one. The first place we were going to was Notre Dame. On the way there we came across this bridge, it had thousands of pad locks locked on it with the name of two people. We were very confused by it so when we got home we found out it was where people would take a pad lock, write there names on it and put it on the bridge to symbolize their ever ending love. Then we got to the Notre Dame, it was very pretty. After Notre Dame we went to see the flower and bird market. The tourist book made it seem a lot better than it actually was, especially the bird market because it seemed cruel. There were small cages with lots of bird in it or a small cage with two to three large birds. We then went for lunch and then got back on the boat to go and see Louvre. Louvre is the largest art museum in the world. It is home of the Mona Lisa and many other famous art pieces. After we got back on the boat and went down to got to the museé d’osay. Unfortunately we didn’t get to go in because it was closed due to strikes. We then decided to go back to the hotel but did not want to go along the river. Instead we went through town and ended up getting lost. It wasn’t to bad because the weather was really nice. After resting for a bit in the hotel we went out for dinner. We tried a different place the waiter again was very scary but the food was nicer. We then came back to the hotel to get ready for bed but then found out that our toilet was broken. We told the man at the front desk but he didn’t know what to do so we asked if we could move rooms. Since there were no more rooms of four we got two rooms of two. They were okay but they were on the main street so we could hear the cars go past all night. None of us got a good sleep.
sorry there are no pictures because they wouldn't copy from word.
